Over the past 50 years I've been privileged to know and work with many world leaders in safety and loss control management. I have studied the progress of safety from the steel plants of northeastern US to the deepest mines in South Africa. I have listened to managers and workers tell their tragic stories of unnecessary human suffering. I have been elated to hear of successful programs preventing accidents and injuries and controlled losses when accidents did happen.
